Girls With Guts Virtual Summit

This year, Girls With Guts is taking to Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to provide you with a completely virtual summit focusing on the impacts of mental health and IBD.

From September 14 - 16, you have the opportunity to participate in Twitter chats, Facebook Live events, interact with clinical experts, listen in on a panel discussion with the Girls With Guts board, and many other sessions potentially including:

Guided meditation
Guided yoga flow
Self-care tips and tricks
The mind gut connection
and a Virtual 5K (details below)

*Times of scheduled events are TBD.*

We've created this weekend to bring everyone in the Girls With Guts sisterhood together as much as possible. If there are fellow GWGs in your area, get together for some of the sessions and participate together. We’d love to see your pics from the weekend.

Throughout the weekend, we’ll also host giveaways and contests for you to win! Make sure your phone, laptop, and mobile devices are charged up so you don’t miss a minute of the GWG Virtual Summit!

The Virtual Summit is also a chance for you to fundraise for GWG. This year, our goal is to raise $15,000 to host our first ever, fully funded, newbie retreat!

If you haven’t had the chance to attend an in-person retreat before, this is for you.

The newbie retreat will be held in addition to our annual retreat in 2019.

For more information go to to see our detailed schedule and where you’ll find the sessions/which platform we’re hosting them on.

Girls With Guts will have some exciting announcements and giveaways over the course of the weekend, too, just for you!

Girls With Guts Virtual 5K

Join us for Girls With Guts’ annual Virtual 5K during the 2018 Virtual Summit Weekend!

What is a virtual race?

A virtual race can be done anywhere anytime. You can walk, run, jog, roller skate, skateboard, bike, or crabwalk outside, indoors, or on a treadmill if you really want to get crazy. The idea is that we’re all supporting GWG on the same date and with the same goals!

How does a virtual 5k work?

You register for the race using the link below and complete the 5k distance on September 16, 2018 however you want. There is no start or end time. We don’t track time for this 5k because the event is more about our community than it is a competition. But you can certainly track your time if you want. Search for Girls With Guts on Charity Miles!

You can connect with other ladies in your area to start teams via our Facebook forum!

Who can participate?

Absolutely anyone! If you’re a Girl With Guts, you love a Girl With Guts, if you just like thinking about guts - we encourage you to join! We encourage participants of all ages, genders, and ability levels.

If you can’t currently run, walk, skateboard, or crabwalk, you can still participate! Register for the event and help us fundraise! You’ll still receive a racing packet.

Can I walk?

Participants are encouraged to complete their run all at once, but we understand that not everyone is able to complete our minimum 5k distance in one outing. The Girls With Guts virtual 5K is less about your race results and more about bringing our community together to accomplish goals and have a successful fundraiser.

Is this a fundraiser?

Yes! Much like other walks or runs, we're encouraging participants to set fundraising goals and spread the word to meet those goals.

Although it is not a requirement, our goal is to have each participant raise $200. All participants who hit at least $200 will receive exclusive an GWG merch item!

Are there any incentives for fundraising?

We have prizes for those who reach and exceed the fundraising goal!

Top Fundraiser - Future Retreat registration and a Tushy Classic Bidet (approx $250 + $69 value)

Second - Tushy Classic Bidet and GWG merch item (approx $69 + $40 value)

Third - DripDrop product and GWG merch item (approx $60 + $40 value)

You can fundraise on your personal pages via once you register using the link below!

Can I sponsor the Virtual Summit/5K?

Absolutely! You can check out our Sponsorship Packet here:

What do I get for registering?

All 5K participants will get a t-shirt, a race bib, some other race/walk goodies and online training information. Shipping is included in your registration fee.
