A little more about Dr. Taft
Dr. Taft is a licensed clinical psychologist and Research Assistant Professor at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in the division of gastroenterology and hepatology, where she has worked since 2004.
She has over 30 publications about the psychosocial aspects of chronic digestive diseases, including several studies in IBD. She serves on the scientific advisory committee for the Illinois Chapter of the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation, and the national patient education committee of CCF. In addition to her academic work, Dr Taft is the owner of Oak Park Behavioral Medicine, a group private practice specializing in working with patients with chronic digestive diseases, near Chicago, IL.
She received her doctorate in clinical psychology in 2009 with a specialization in health psychology and behavioral medicine. Dr. Taft has also lived with Crohn's disease since 2002 and eosinophilic esophagitis since 2016.
A little more about Dr. Naik
Dr. Naik, MD, is the Director of the #IBD Program at Loyola University Medical Center. As a gastroenterologist, he specializes in the treatment of Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis as a part of a multidisciplinary team. A lifelong Midwesterner, Dr. Naik received his medical degree from the University of Illinois-Chicago College of Medicine, and completed his residency in internal medicine.
