Awakening Boutique is Denver’s only independent and woman-owned sex and wellness boutique and adult novelty store. It was founded by Tory Johnson and Rose Kalasz with the mission to create a safe, inclusive, and fun space for people to learn about and explore their sexuality. In a fun, casual atmosphere, they will present a workshop covering sex, self-esteem, and self-love in women with disabilities. They will bring and share books, toys, and other useful products. This will run in conjunction with Ostomysecrets representative Sarah Biggart.
Sarah lives in San Diego’s North County with her husband Jason and son Hendrix. A diagnosis of Ulcerative Colitis in 2000 about a year into her marriage started her on the journey that continues today. In 2004 she had surgery to create her ileostomy and a second surgery in 2011 to remove her rectal stump. Having an ostomy has always been a positive for Sarah because she feels that it has allowed her to live the life she has always wanted. Being involved in the ostomy community through her role at Ostomysecrets and as a Me+ Ambassador, is her way of reaching out to others who may be struggling with acceptance of their ostomies. In her spare time you can find Sarah at Disneyland or just enjoying the laid back Southern California lifestyle with family and friends.
Sarah Biggart will be representing Ostomysecrets in a fun workshop with Awakening Boutique.
